Having grown up in the same small town and attending the same high school, Allison and Jacob's story didn’t begin so much as it resumed. In August of 2024, they reconnected and quickly realized that what they had found was something worth holding onto. Things moved fast, but when you’re making up for lost time with the person you’re falling in love with, it feels exactly right.

By October, a trip to Las Vegas for a music festival made it official: this was no longer just a reunion, but the start of something lasting. As the seasons changed, so did their lives. Allison moved in with Jacob on the first day of summer in 2025, turning a relationship into a home.

That summer brought another new addition: a miniature dachshund, Spaghetti, who quickly made sure life would never be boring again.

On October 31, 2025, Jacob convinced Allison to venture out for coffee and a walk along the riverfront in their hometown of Freeport. At the gazebo, a place filled with familiarity and meaning, Jacob asked Allison for her hand in marriage, and she said, "Yes!"

And just like that, the rest is history still being written.
